Summer Family Vacation- Lake Livingston

Finally after 10 years of telling my father we need to take a family vacation we did!!  Dad got a package in an auction for a 5 bedroom house on Lake Livingston.  We also got to use their jet skis and boats.  The outside area of the house was really nice and relaxing.  Steven and his family did not join us but we still had a great time.  I love being with my family and it was much needed time together.  We got to relax and do a whole lot of nothing but be together.  It was also nice to see my Dad relax.  We had water gun fights, jet ski races, and cruised around on the boat.  A vacation to remember!

Watching our favorite baseball player- Uncle Steven!

Dax loves baseball and he also adores Uncle Steven.  We went to watch Uncle Steven play in the World Series of the league he is playing in.  I thought it would be cute to make Dax a shirt with Uncle Steven's number and name on the back of the shirt.  It turned out super cute.  I bought the materials and my wonderful friend Holly ironed them on for me.  She did a good job!!

The Wiggles!

Driving in my Big Red Car, Wags the Dog, and Dorothy the Dinosaur.  Dax does not watch very much TV but he has always loved The Wiggles.  They came to town and we took Dax to see them.  He was just mesmerized by the lights and the action.  He danced some but really just watched.  He even got to give one of the Wiggles a high five which he was pretty excited about.

Friday Night fun with Friends!

Nothing better than hanging out with friends on a Friday night!  The kids played in the slip n slide and the adults got to catch up and chat on the driveway.  Although, Amy and I did participate in the slip n slide fun!

Happy Birthday to Kim-ma!

Another birthday in our family.  This time of year we are celebrating birthdays it seems every weekend.  This past weekend we celebrated a special birthday for Kim or otherwise know as Kim-ma!  I have never really liked the word "Stepmom" since Kim has been in our family for so long so I renamed her as my "Bonus Mom"  I think that word is much more fitting. 

We started Kim's birthday celebration at a bridal shower at Bravos Mexican restaurant.  At the shower they had a few games and one game was to design a wedding dress out of toilet paper.  Kim, Angie, and I were on a team.  I decided we had to be different to win so we made Kim be the bride since she was the birthday.  Look below to see our bride.  Of course we won!  Then we headed over to Olive Garden with the family for a nice dinner.
